Getting involved in the Free Sports Expo will give you the opportunity to promote your organisation/club and be a part of the only Royal Show in Queensland, brought to you by the Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland (RASQ).

Mega Prize Draw
Young people will have the opportunity to enter into the Mega Prize Draw competition, there will be one prize drawn at the conclusion of the show. We would request your organisation/club to contribute a sporting item/s to include in the  prize pack. This is a fantastic opportunity to promote your organisation/club

Important Information

The free sports expo is now being coordinated by the RASQ they have modify how the expo will be run and set up. This year organisations will need to be self sustainable for the duration of the event, a coordinator will be available through out the day on phone, but not on site for the entire day. Organisation will be allocated an activity space or display area. Details of this will be provided prior to the event and your coordinator will be onsite for set up and pack down.

Organisations conducting activities/displays must be available for pre-set up prior to 8.45am. Shipping container will again be available to secure equipment overnight. 

Activity providers are to provide staff/volunteers for the duration of each day 9.00am – 5.00pm and post event to dismantle your activity/display.

Vehicle entry passes may be available upon request for organisation brining in large amounts of equipment. Vehicles are to be removed from within the showgrounds and parked in the designated car park area by 8am daily or risk your vehicle being towed.

All rubbish must be removed from each site at the conclusion of the day.

Should your organisation/club undertake activities (come and try etc), these need to be conducted in a safe and controlled manner and all equipment compliant with Work Health and Safety requirements.

To participate your organisation must have Public Liability Insurance. You will need to provide RASQ with a copy of the organisations Certificate of Currency for your registration to be complete.

All registrations will be considered and the RASQ will inform accepted organisations/clubs by either phone or email. Confirmation letter details will include: 

• participation date/s and times;

• set up requirements;

• site map;

• entry passes and

• equipment delivery details (if required).

After more then 10 years the staff of Sport and Recreation Services would like to thank all clubs,  organisation and more importantly the dedicated volunteers they have worked to delivering the free sports expo.  This is a fantastic event and we hope you continue to take advantage of this opportunity and continue to support the RASQ.
