Getting to the Showgrounds and Parking...

Getting to the Toowoomba Showgrounds

The Toowoomba showgrounds are located at the end of Glenvale Rd, with Harvey Rd running along the front of it.  Driving to the showgrounds is easy to navigate from all major roads into town:

  • Coming in from Oakey/ Dalby: Go along the highway into town until it turns into Bridge St, then turn right onto Boundary Rd, then right onto Glenvale Rd.
  • Coming up the range: follow the highway up the range and it will curve into becoming James st, follow along through the Anzac Avenue intersection and then turn left just past the McDonalds onto Karrool st, then right onto Glenvale Rd.
  • Coming along Ruthven st:  Turn onto James or Bridge st and follow the directions above!

Public Transport: Buses

During the Show Days (April 12-14) there is a special bus schedule running, helping people get to the Showgrounds easily.

Drop Off Zone

For those dropping people off to the show they should follow the appropriate signage straight down Glenvale Rd, and follow the fence line to the designated drop off area near the Main front Gate (Northern Turnstiles).

Parking

Parking for the public is spread over several locations. There is signage directing vehicles to the appropriate gate. Public, disabled and members car parking can be found at both the Northern (at the bottom of Glenvale Rd) and Southern (off Harvey Rd) car parks.  Signage for Cattle, Horse and Livestock will direct you to the appropriate gate (along Harvey Rd).

So glad you asked....

Pre-paid tickets are non-refundable, but they offer some great deals to help families afford all of the fun and entertainment at the show, not just the free things!

These are only available until 5pm Wednesday 11th April from:

  • Heritage Bank Branches in Toowoomba
  • The Show Office
  • The Show stand at Clifford Gardens
  • A limited number of pre-paid tickets will also be available online. Please click here to purchase.

When is the Toowoomba Show Holiday in 2018?

Thursday 12th April.  Gates open at the Toowoomba Royal Show at 9am until 9pm that evening.

When is the Official Opening of the Show?

The official opening of the show takes place in the main arena on Thursday 12th April at 5pm.

I want to know more about the nightly entertainment during the show...

This year we will have two entertainment options for evertyone.  A Comm Games Village and Food Truck area with bean bags and Bavarian style seating that offers huge live streaming of the games, as well as campfire style music sessions with local artists, as well as our usual nightly entertainment in the main arena.

The nightly entertainment starts at approximately 5:30pm (Thursday to Saturday) and concludes at 8:30pm (with fireworks in the main arena at approximately 8pm).
