CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS REPORT

It is with pleasure that I present the Chief Executive Officers report for the Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland for the 2025/2026 financial year.

The Society recorded EBITDA of $95,372.  The Society was able to achieve this through a variety of State and Local Government grants, increased use of facilities, strong caravan/camping revenue, continued support from our many corporate sponsors and a very successful Toowoomba Royal Show.  Our costs however continue to rise particularly repairs and maintenance, sawdust, electricity, fuel and insurance.

This year’s show, our 161^st, was a tremendous success particularly following the very difficult, and wet show of 2025.  Numbers were on par or slightly up across the majority of competitive sections, our commercial sites were full, the Showmen had delivered numerous large rides that had never been to Toowoomba before and our entertainment program was the largest we had ever put together with a host of old favourites plus a vast array of new attractions.
